Among the most notable names comes in the form of 6’7″ Cal wing Andrej Stojakovic. If that name’s familiar to you, it’s because Andrej is the son of former NBA hooper Peja Stojakovic.
The younger Stojakovic was Cal’s best player this past year. As a sophomore, he averaged 17.9 PPG, 4.7 RPG, and 1.8 APG on .427 from the field and .318 from three. He was asked to essentially carry the load for Mark Madsen’s team offensively.
For his career, his shooting numbers aren’t overly efficient. When combining his freshman year at Stanford, Stojakovic is a career .420 shooter from the field, and shockingly only a .322 shooter from three considering how good his dad was from beyond the arc.
Now, rumors have Stojakovic potentially staying in the ACC in order to play for Duke. With better talent around him, you’d assume his efficiency would increase. He’s an isolation scorer with decent athleticism and strong aggressiveness. With Stojakovic in the portal, he immediately becomes one of the best players available at this given time.
