United States Women’s National Team star Crystal Dunn has agreed to join French team Paris Saint-Germain.
The versatile attacker and defender “mutually agreed” to depart from her old club, Gotham FC. She completed her medical in Paris on Thursday to complete the move.
It will be her second time playing in Europe, after first having played for Chelsea FC in 2017-18 where won the Women’s Super League title. She then had stints at North Carolina Courage and Portland Thorns FC, adding three National Women’s Soccer League titles to her resume. She also won three NWSL Shields between the two clubs.
In 2023, she moved to NY Gotham FC, where she made 23 appearances and scored one goal.
Since making her debut for the USWNT in 2013, she made a name for herself by being a versatile player positionally, playing as an attacking midfielder and striker, as well as often being deployed as a left-back. She was the starting left-back in the victorious 2019 Women’s World Cup squad, crucially shutting down English player Lucy Bronze in the semifinal. She also helped the team win the gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics, providing an assist against Japan in the quarterfinal.

PSG is currently 3rd in the Women’s Première Ligue, eight points behind leaders Lyon.
