Seattle Seahawks wideout DK Metcalf has reportedly requested a trade, according to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero. Metcalf, 27, is entering the final year of his deal. A two-time Pro Bowler, Metcalf is coming off a down year in which he totaled 66 receptions for 992 yards and 5 TDs. However, his market should be robust given his talent level. Several teams will be interested in adding Metcalf to their receiving corps. Here are five possible landing spots for the veteran receiver:

New England Patriots

The Patriots have a ton of cap space, all of their picks, and a young QB that needs more weapons. They’ve been linked to Bengals WR Tee Higgins throughout the offseason. With Higgins potentially staying put in Cincinnati for another year, the Patriots may shift focus to Metcalf. While he hasn’t been as productive as Higgins, Metcalf has more top-end speed that can be better utilized with Drake Maye’s strong arm. He’d instantly be New England’s No. 1 option and a big upgrade over what they had in 2024.

Buffalo Bills

Buffalo’s front office has put effort into adding pass catchers around Josh Allen. They’ve spent first-round picks on TE Dalton Kincaid and WR Keon Coleman in back-to-back seasons. A midseason trade for Amari Cooper didn’t pan out. Adding Metcalf into the mix could fill some of the void left behind by Stefon Diggs. The Bills have fallen short in the postseason time and time again. Having a game-breaking wideout on the outside who can win downfield could potentially be the edge Buffalo needs to finally reach the Super Bowl.

Los Angeles Chargers

Jim Harbaugh led the Chargers to a playoff berth in his first year. And, there is plenty of room for this roster to grow. QB Justin Herbert leaned on rookie WR Ladd McConkey as his No. 1 option. McConkey exceeded all expectations as a first-year player, but the rest of the receiving corps needs some work. Metcalf is the prototype for a player that would fit in LA’s offense. The 6-foot-4 Metcalf would be a preferred deep threat for Herbert who boats one of the strongest arms in the NFL. Plus, a fiery coach like Harbaugh is a good match for the enigmatic Metcalf.

Las Vegas Raiders

Could a reunion with Pete Carroll be on the horizon? Carroll drafted Metcalf in 2019 and helped develop him into one of the top wideouts in the league. Metcalf’s best season — All-Pro in 2020 — was under Carroll’s watch. The Raiders are in the market for a QB this season. Whether they use a draft pick on a rookie or bring in a veteran, acquiring a player of Metcalf’s caliber could go a long way. Teams will have to respect his ability to win downfield, opening up even more lanes for guys like TE Brock Bowers and WR Jakobi Meyers to feast underneath.

Carolina Panthers

A bit of a wildcard, but the Panthers could be a nice landing spot for a star WR. QB Bryce Young showed flashes during the second half of 2024. HC Dave Canales has a track record of putting wideouts in a position to succeed dating back to his days as the offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The NFC South is wide open heading into 2025. If the Panthers can snag Metcalf for a mid-round draft pick they will have an offense worthy of competing for a division crown.
