On Tuesday, the College Football Playoff selection committee released its first rankings of the 2024 season. Oregon was ranked No. 1 by the committee, followed by Ohio State, Georgia, Miami and Texas. The top four seeds go to conference champions — meaning Ohio State and Texas couldn’t earn a Top 4 seed in the initial bracket. As the highest-rated non-Power 4 school, Boise State earned the No. 12 seed in yesterday’s reveal.
